We had a visitor today at Birds Ferry Lodge and Andre was quick with the camera before he flew on his way. The White Herons have a large colony down the coast at Whataroa where you can see them up close by taking a tour with http://www.whiteherontours.co.nz/ This is the best time of year to see the pairs breeding & raising young.
